Supporting flowers

Not only are flowers (and berries) attractive in their own right, many species of insects, birds and other animals depend on them to live. But flowers aren’t doing too well at present, and we want to do something to help.

Many existing organisations are active in this area, so we’ve been thinking what we can do that will add to this – and that makes sense for a small business to do. We’ve come up with three things:

1. We can give some of our profits away. It makes sense to us to focus this on organisations and activities that have a thematic connection to Naturetale. We are small, and we make aspects of nature more accessible. So we will donate a proportion of our profit to other small organisations who are also making nature more accessible – whether this is through improving physical accessibility, or by improving knowledge and understanding.

2. In addition, we can help flowers by publicising and promoting activity that is working to improve, restore and / or expand habitats for flowers and berry bearing plants. While there are many threats to be reacted to, it is also true that there are many positive things happening – often unnoticed.

3. We are supporting the Naturetale Restoration Foundation by providing all its organisational and administrative resources for free, along with its online presence.

If you know of, or are part of, an organisation that fits this bill, please let us know. Contact us via email or via our 'contact' page.
